Corporate History

February, 1932 Sato Seisakusho was established by the founder Yusuke Sato, at 1-27, Oi 5-chome, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.　Production of the aircraft parts and precision parts for Nippon Kogaku K.K. (presently Nikon Corporation) started.
February, 1947 The company was reorganized as Sato Sangyo Y.K. Production and sales of vacuum pumps started.
October, 1960 The company was reorganized as Sato Vacuum Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. Teruyoshi Sato was elected as the representative director.
July, 1971 Manufacturing operation was transferred to the new plant constructed in 2-7, 2-chome, Nobidome, Niiza, Saitama.
January, 1975 Masazumi Tamiya was elected as the representative director.
September, 1976 Optical Research Laboratory was established.
January, 1983 Manufacturing operation was transferred to the new plant constructed in 1036, Fujikubo , Miyoshi-cho, Iruma-gun, Saitama.
March, 1989 Osaka Sales Office and Service Center opened in 4-13, NishiIshikiri-cho 3- chome, Higashi-Osaka City.
April, 1991 Norikazu Sato was elected as the representative director.
September, 1998 The name of the company was changed to SATO VAC INC. and the trade mark PHIL was adopted.
February, 2012 A concept book “PRIDE” was published commemorating 80th anniversary of the company.
September, 2012 「Vacuum NAVI」was opened as associate site on our home page.
Vacuum handbook 「Basic guide for vacuum」was published.
